October 2019 (ROTM#130) Rip Current Safety Video: an Oldie but a Goodie!

It's the beginning of the beach patrol season in many parts of Australia, so it's a timely reminder to think about beach safety and rip currents if you plan to go to the beach this summer in Australia (or anywhere with waves breaking really). There's a lot of excellent beach safety videos available on YouTube about rip currents, but sometimes an oldie is still a goodie and this one that UNSW TV produced called ‘How to Survive Beach Rip Currents’ was one of the first and still one of the best (but I’m biased!). Over 1.3 million views ain’t bad.
